They look nice subjects but the lighting is too harsh. Flowers generally photograph best on an overcast day - it evens out the light and avoids strong shadows.

Looks a nice shot but there are some nasty compression artifacts in this - you need to look at your compression settings and pick a higher quality.

Prettiest flower in the world, IMHO. Would have been more effective with more zoom - have the flower occupy more of the shot.
