The Hauntingby LonniComment: Probably suffered a bit coming on the heals of the Trees challenge. Other than the building in the background being a bit of a distraction, I can't really see why this wouldn't have done better than it did... the processing is excellent... the composition is good, it's sharp, there's interest... and the building isn't that much of a distraction... so, I put this down to voters being tired of trees. C'est la vie. |

Southern Cross Stationby millsaComment: A good image that would have been GREAT if there were trains on the left to balance those on the right... if only you didn't have security on your back when trying to take this... next time, take your wife and kids and they'll know you're not a professional photographer and will leave you alone... worked for me. I look forward to our ongoing battle in the FSM. Bring on the May FS :) |

untitledby GnarfComment: This is a very different image... has an almost scary feel to it... very blair witch. |

The Widdle Bunnyby K3MasterComment: This is gorgeous. I didn't get around to voting on this one, but this would have been up there as one of my favourite portraits of the challenge. Expression is priceless. I don't mind the selective de-sat at all... works for me. What I'd have to pick on would be the crop that loses part of the bunny ear and part of her right arm. I think this might have done better had we not just had the "Candid" challenge... Very nice. Keep up the great work. |

A Moment Aloneby QuigleyComment: I love the expression of this guys face. Makes me wonder what it is he's thinking... makes me happy just looking at his face. Composition is great, though, I feel there might not be enough contrast between his hair and the background, so the eye wanders a little into the wall... perhaps a touch shallower DOF to blur the background might have helped prevent this... but I'm just looking for things to pick on really. An excellent image, which I expected to finish higher than it did. Well done. |

Disturbing the Still Watersby BrianRComment: A good animals in action shot which probably suffered coming straight after that theme. To be perfectly honest, I didn't even notice the duck in the others wake... perhaps a different title may have directed to viewer to that detail which may have helped to keep the viewer engaged in the image a moment or two longer. I like the border and think it helps this image. |

A Warm Day Turning into a Cool Nightby pirsotComment: Colours in this are stunning. I like the silhouette of the tree, and how the border compliments it. I'm not a fan of the electricity pylon in the background and the tilted horizon... perhaps a different crop might have helped to eliminated these... just a thought. Colours are brilliant though, and I love the streaks of light coming through the clouds. |
