Interesting. I honestly didn't realize that even an extremely subtle, reasonable use of selective desat (well, in this case, selective RE-sat) would be honed in on and berated.

Boggles the mind, really.

This is gorgeous. I didn't get around to voting on this one, but this would have been up there as one of my favourite portraits of the challenge. Expression is priceless. I don't mind the selective de-sat at all... works for me. What I'd have to pick on would be the crop that loses part of the bunny ear and part of her right arm. I think this might have done better had we not just had the "Candid" challenge... Very nice. Keep up the great work.

I really like this - mostly for her expression, but what gives it added depth are the faces behind her. Just barely there, but there just the same. One distinctly male, one distinctly female - one can assume these are the bunny's proud parents. An engaging and delightfully different "family portrait" of a sort. My only nit (and you know this is coming) is the selective desat, but that's a personal preference - pure B&W would work just fine for me. But it's not my picture, now, is it? Nicely done.

The grayscale image with colored elements is fast becoming a meme in these challenges and it doesn't always work. The repetition of this type of image is fast becoming passe'. Having said that, this is very different and unigue - a solid image that is crisp, sharp and properly framed and composed - a technical success in every way. From an artistic standpoint, it has significant impact being richly colored with excellant detail. A perfect demonstration of the power of properly controlled light and focus. Well done.
