Disorientation is not the feeling I expect when looking at art, but you managed to evoke this. An interesting way of making the viewer look at something differently.

I quite like this image.... I like the story it is trying to tell. I like the processing. I can see it as a work of art that could grace the wall of the boy or his family, however, it wasn't something that I could see hanging in a gallery of on an album. I didn't impact, or connect with ME as much as many of the other photo... a wonderful image, nonetheless.

On second viewing, it is indeed an interesting photo... unfortunately, there wasn't the draw on first viewing and voting to make me want to look too long and hard at this. The processing seemed harsh, but given the subject, that's probably fitting. Also, I tend not to look at the titles of all the photos, and had I read this title, it would have compelled me to go and look for the hat... which would have led me to fully appreciate the moment you captured. I apologies for not giving this the attention it deserved earlier...

I commented on this during voting, which automatically tells you it was in my top 25% for the challenge. In fact, it's in my top 5 favourites for the challenge. As I said, this reminds me of nixter, and that I rate him as one of the great artists here... you Deb, are another of the great artists here.

While the voters didn't give this image the appreciation it deserves, at least I don't think they did, but one conciliation is that in doing so, your image can now get a MUAIMHO (along with the other deserving accolades being bestowed).

I commented on this during voting, and there's little more I can add. Fact that I commented previously, automatically tells you it was in my top 25% for the challenge. Well done on a wonderful image.

I love a good spiral staircase, and this is a great spiral staircase, and you've done an excellent job with the processing and composition.

Wonderful detail and composition. The beauty and art of this was largely lost on first viewing... but having returned to comment, I sit here and am noticing a lot that I overlooked before. It still has the gross factor, but art does that sometimes... makes us uncomfortable.

Great capture. The composition/crop is great, and the image works fantastic in B&W.

This captures the absolute madness that is the highway system of the US... it doesn't need to be this hard... this complicated... it shows modern societies "need" for shortcuts... direct, individual routes, but in the process of providing this, society creates a mess of roads that are impossible to navigate without GPS, and even then, one often finds themselves in the wrong lane or on the wrong off-ramp and heading in the completely opposite direction we need to be heading.
