With Back Turnedby lovethelightComment: Hi from the CC CLub.
Wow you got more comments after the challenge then during.
This is technically a nice photo. Good lighting and angle. I like the view from the back, Gives it something different.
Subject is crisp and colors are nice.
Well done!

Curlsby Dr.ConfuserComment: Hi from the Critique Club,
I looked at this picture several times during the challenge, and finally settled on the middle of the road.
Technically this is a nice picture, I am not sure I like the angle but thats just my taste. The lightning is decent and the picture is sharp enough.
I think the subject is a little centered for the challenge.
I think the subject lacks the wow factor that we all look for. Maybe a different angle or crop might change the whole look of this shot.
Your portfolio speaks volumes about your photographic abilities and as you said in your comments you are working on candids and this is a nice start.
Best of luck.

Serenityby DaveSMComment: Greetings from the Critique Club.
Technically this is a good picture, Nice change from color to color.
The tulips are just a little over exposed and lost a some of the petal detail.
It is a nice sharp picture.
I can not say that this has the WOW factor we all talk about but it is a nice picture
Keep up the good work
Best of luck

Boy With Balloonby bvyComment: Greetings from The Critique Club
Welcome to DPC too!
First you should know that comments made during challenges can be painfully honest. Know that most people are trying to be helpful, some are just a little more graceful with their words.
Technically this picture is ok. Lighting is a bit harsh on the face
and the red of the ?slide?. The color is bright and the skin tones look okay,
You have met the Rule of Thirds well.
The subject does not keep my interest, but for your first challenge you have done well.
My advice is to keep shooting, and entering challenges. It is hard in the beginning, comments may be left that seem harsh but read through the lines and you will see that most people here have thier hearts in the right place.

Reaching to the Sunby annigComment: Hi from Critique Club.
and welcome to DPchallenge.
Technically , I think this shot is overexposed. White flowers are hard to shoot and a lot of the petal detail is lost. The leaf in the front left is a bit distracting. A different angle may have helped both problems.
Subject: I think the crop is too tight, its not a macro so more flower and better DOF would have made this more interesting.
Meeting the challenge, Well I think the comments speak volumes, it is centered no rule of thirds there.
I have looked at your portfolio and you have some really nice pictures there. It takes awhile to understand the voting trends, but the people here are helpful and very honest with their comments.
Keep entering challenges and you will learn that score doesn't really matter, it's the challenge of the shot and how much you enjoyed yourself taking the picture.
Best of Luck

Wait, are those.. bubbles?by pyroticComment: Greetings from the Critique Club.
I always like pictures that show creativity.
Very clever idea and well executed.
I think you did a good job critiqueing yourself in thr comments.
Better fill lighting would have helped the shadows.
The comments were positive and the most of the scores seemed fair, except for the 5 ones.
Some people take things to literally.
Congrats on nice picture and good luck in your future challenges.

Bubbles of ****by BHusemanComment: Hi from the Critique Club.
Although the subject is not all that pleasant. Technically this a nice picture. Color, clarity, lighting and point of view are all spot on.
You captured a great expression on the soldiers face, which just adds to the mire he is in.
As far as meeting the challenge, well, with all that gushing water in the back, you can only assume that there were bubbles.
I think the score was fair and comments were mainly nice and supportive.
Good Luck and may you stay safe in these trouble times.
