It's a good idea to use the entire allowed 640 pixels on one side. A larger image size can sometimes make it appear more dynamic. I think you captured the water beautifully (!!) - its spray looks so smooth and I like all the greenery surrounding it. Also to make the image more dynamic, you might consider cropping a bet out of the left, so the waterfall is positioned more in the left third. Nice job - and I hope you don't mind my comments.

Too bad you weren't able to get closer to the climber, because I think this could've been very powerful. Technically, it looks pretty good. If it were my image, I might crop just to the right of the climber, near the bushes. Might help bring him out a little more.

This is a powerful picture. The light is quite harsh, but maybe that's what you were after to emphasize the harsh life. I can imagine that black & white might work well in this image.

Worth the wait

Is this one of those special flowers that only blooms once every so many years and then it lasts for one day? I think I read about some kind of flower like that. It definitely looks worth the wait! I might prefer sharper focus on the center and possibly some paper or something behind the flower to avoid the blown highlight issue. The colors are gorgeous.
