Watching From The Shadowsby idnicComment: The way that beautiful fur fills the whole frame is striking. Issues for me are the pink spot at right and that the focus on his face seems a bit soft, but with oversharpened whiskers. My favorite part of this other than how his fur fills the frame is the color of his eyes. Really beautiful color overall (other than the pink color mentioned above). I love the way he's looking directly at the camera! |

Modern Coal Mineby RistyzComment: This seems like a really good idea and an interesting topic, but there's a lot going on here, so it's kind of hard to know what I should be looking at. The lines lead to a miner, but he kind of blends in with his surroundings, which becomes a bit confusing. |

Barney at windowby lytaComment: Hey, this is my cat's twin! Really. Very good expression on his face and nice job overall. I like the detail above his eyes and around his nose. |

Soft Curvesby cresusComment: I really like the unusual pose, composition, and processing here. Her body is a complex line of light. Very nice. |

African Nightby md8speedComment: Wow, this is so beautiful! The silhouette of that lonely tree on the hill - and those gorgeous colors... Tony, is this you? Very nice, whoever you are! |

Green and Purpleby 2mccsComment: Beautiful! Sorry for the overused comment, but it really is beautiful. Can't figure out what it is and that adds to the interest. The thing at left holds my interest and the little blobs of purple are wonderful. |

- subject escapes -by GuGiComment: The girl in the background is like a ghost and her pink dress or shirt add to the mystery in the otherwise dark surroundings. Perfect for this challenge in my opinion! Another thing I really enjoy in this picture is the ceiling, because of its shimmery and interesting lines. |

Stark Horizonby Faye PekasComment: This is one of my favorite of all the seascapes in this entry because of it's simplicity. Would've scored it high in the zen challenge as well. Actually, since I like the image so much, I probably would've scored it high in just about any entry :-) The color graduations are very calming, as is the fact that you have left the subtleness of the colors alone. The only criticism is that I'd like to see more detail (maybe) in the water. Is it a tiny bit blurry there, or it might just be me. |

Stage Setby rjksteschComment: This is frustrating for me because I love the image, hate the neat image though. I want to see the texture in those barrels and on the pavement, especially since it's a rough setting - the artificial smoothness from processing really throws me off balance. It occurs to me that maybe that's what your after. If so, well you see one person's reaction to the effect anyway. What I love about the image is the composition, with the 2 1/2 barrels in the foreground. I like this colors, particularly the pinks and lavenders and the green text that is framed by those colors. I like the general messiness - the forbidden sign, the post, etc. |
