_DSC0051Cheescake1net.jpgby pawdrixComment: Really great job, Steve! I'd love to see the pointy part of the cheesecake pointing just a smidgen to the right for a more dynamic effect, but I think Formerlee already mentioned something like that. The lighting is wonderful!! The background raspberries and dof really make the foreground come to life, too. |

anne7.jpgby PuckzzzComment: I love this image because her expression kind of looks like "oops, now I've done it." She's an adorable model. I like both shots from this series, but this is my favorite of the two. Really nice processing too, by the way. |

Every Time We Touch by SandyPComment: Sandy! Congratulations! I'm so happy for you for this wonderful entry - really, really spectacular. You are such a star at capturing this type of tender moment with animals. I would've never been able to choose which of the two shots to enter, but I'm sure the other one had just as good a chance to win a ribbon as this one. I like them both equally as much, for different reasons. This one breaks my heart it's so sweet. Yay for you - again!! |

Rebeccaby CalliopeKelComment: OH, what a great, serious and natural expression this girl has! I love it, Kelly! As always, you bring everyone to life through their eyes - this model is no exception. The lock of hair across her face is the icing on this portrait. Coool. |

one fine day in the middle of the nightby SkipComment: Skip, this is lovely! I've noticed this beautiful lighthouse shot when browsing, but didn't notice that it was you who entered it. This is your first entry since Scratchin and Pickin, and I'm so happy to see you back in the challenges, or at least one <--- enough to give me hope that you might be back in the challenges :-) The stars are so beautiful. In your notes, you write about it being too late to catch the lighthouse rays - boy, that would've been something wonderful if you could've, but this is just great as it is. You're an inspiration. |

James with Shovel; Ready for Dirty Workby dsidwellComment: David, congratulations on another great challenge entry. I am surprised this isn't much closer to the top, but glad to see there was some appreciation from the voters. However, none of that matters: you have a wonderful image of this guy James, and I bet he's going to be thrilled to have a print of this. It will look nice in the museum, too. The lighting is stunning, really perfect. He's not a bad looking guy either :-) |
