 pure moonlight.

unfortunately, the 3/4 moon was setting too early and the atmosphere was so dry, there was no way to capture the light rays. this was shot around 11pm.

Skip, this is lovely! I've noticed this beautiful lighthouse shot when browsing, but didn't notice that it was you who entered it. This is your first entry since Scratchin and Pickin, and I'm so happy to see you back in the challenges, or at least one <--- enough to give me hope that you might be back in the challenges :-) The stars are so beautiful. In your notes, you write about it being too late to catch the lighthouse rays - boy, that would've been something wonderful if you could've, but this is just great as it is. You're an inspiration.

A wonderful shot that I had expected would do much better (not that 15 out of 411 is somthing to be disappointed about!) Just beautiful!

Lighthouses are my favorite subjects and this is one of the BEST shots I've seen! So clear for a night shot. The stars are great! Very good job! 10
