The Watcherby Faye PekasComment: This is one of those pictures I could stare at for ages. It's got the power of the sea and contrast in the stillness of the watcher. There's a slight glow around the blue jacket, but minor. I am crazy about the tones and composition here - great job! |

Frivolous Sisters Outtakeby ArtysteComment: I agree with you that your entry choice was preferable over this one, but I've just gotta say this, Artyste - you really are an artist. I'm constantly impressed with the beauty you get with your *ist DS. |

State Fair 2005by ShaneBlakeComment: This is a great portrait composition. I really like the asymmetry and the earring on the right side.
There's only one thing that bothers me and that might be the fault of my crappy laptop monitor, so take it for what it's worth. There's a fairly strong red tinge to the woman's teeth, at least at certain angles of this monitor. Otherwise, I like this portrait very much. |

Yoda.jpgby dragonladyComment: This is one gorgeous cat picture. I like the focus on the face, with the rest of the cat's body blending off into the background. Yoda's eyes are wonderful! Good job (from a former Rhode Islander) |

barbedbeauty.jpgby saintaugustComment: The leaves (ivy?) are so high key that they look like prints - I love it! I think this could stand to be rotated very slightly clockwise, so the vertical post is vertical. Good job. |

Cornersby myceliumComment: I also gave this a 9. Really surprised it didn't get in the top 20! This is such a nice abstract. |

Sl ic edby JutildaComment: I loved this one - gave it a 9. All that black with the stark orange-yellow of the pear really worked for me. I can definitely imagine this hanging on my wall! Can't believe the score you got. Hmmmmm. |

'trust'by suemackComment: She's beautiful! Many years ago, I worked at an SPCA in the States. While working there, I also adopted a pup that was just like Kahn. It's good to know that Kahn now has the chance for a better life. |
