This certainly awoke some fond memories of a visit to Greenland several years ago. The white boat breaks up all the dark water and shoreline. Great contrasting effect. Nicely done.
My congratulations.

Wonderful grainy feel certainly helps to enhance the sad thoughtful expression. One of the better portritures as of late. Very very nicely done ! And perfect timing on your part.

The cloud formation and brightness of them really help to enhance to sad lonely feel of your building. Like the sharp contrast on building also. Good timing on this one. Congrats on a very good photo.

Change the contrast? Change the sharpness? Change the slight Blurring? Wait for more daylight? No to all the above. I love the forlorn lonely feel. Not sure if it will make it to ribbon, but I do like what you accomplished with this shot. Good luck!

I really like this image. Your timing was almost perfect! I'll blame mother nature for not giving you just a touch more color in sky from departing sun. Hope this makes it near the top Good luck !!

Overcast sky really helps this image. Sharp clean edges, just the right amount of lighting to give it a sad forlorn feel. If foreground twigs on hill were any sharper i think they would have distracted from subject. Good choice keeping them blurred just a touch. Hope it scores high. Good job, very well done.

Certainly makes me envious, I'm walking around in 6 inches of snow. Great timing on this shot ! The sunlight hitting spray is excellent. Very very little blurring in spray Overall an excellent submission Good luck !!

Cowboy boots with laces??...hmmmm I think the boot itself could have been a bit sharper?
Overall idea is creative and good camera positioning. Also like the lighting direction. Good luck !

Extremely sharp, great contrast, perfect lighting. If this doesn't ribbon its not because its a poor photo, its because our finicky voters a "more interesting " subject ?? Personally I think this shows extremely professional photography skills. Well done indeed!!
