Ok, You Got Meby wsteynComment: Nice composition, love the framing provided by the plant leaf sections. Overall, feels a touch dark but the detail/ exposure on the chameleon is lovely. |

Strange Loveby gocComment: I have searched through the challenge for those entries where the negative space is more than just a plain black or white backdrop because, whilst I think that technique often makes for some really strong and high impact images, I̢۪m particularly drawn to entries where the negative space is relevant to the subject itself and actually contributes to the impact of the picture in a contextual as well as purely compositional way.
I̢۪m such a sucker for shallow DOF and I really like it here. The DOF really focuses attention on the main pink flower (and somewhat on the second one just behind) but the inclusion of a thick slice of grass and large expanse of stone wall provides an interesting environment, colour balance and composition. |

Absolutely perfect timing in terms of the position of that bird and the entire composition works well. I̢۪d probably rotate fractionally to straighten the horizon and might even slice a sliver off the top to push the horizon further away from the centre but those are both minor suggestions. Lighting is beautiful and I really feel like I̢۪m there. |

Lovely choice of time to photograph in terms of light direction creating silhouette and nice light and shadow on the water and waves. Compositionally, I think this could be stronger without the distracting detail at the top i.e. taking the image several seconds earlier and cropping out the trees, wall and background shoreline so that he̢۪s still in the top left corner of the frame. |

Beautiful vibrant colours and sharp detail and nice use of shallow DOF to blur the background sufficiently to reduce distraction but retain it̢۪s colour, which matches, of course, with the focused foreground leaves, to provide context. Composition a little too centred, perhaps, but still like it. |

Lovely little detail portrait which is actually rather poignant. The simple, wall and floorboards are a really nice and homely setting for the ballet slippers. I’m not a smoothness freak at all – I actually like noise – but it seems rather excessive here. Also lighting is a little too uneven left to right, I find. |

Although the silhouette is a little overly complex the wonderful natural light silhouette and expanse of beach are quite evocative and definitely set the scene. |

The expanse of baize definitely contributes to an impression of the final moments of a game and the unusual composition works too. The focus seems a little off – it’s falling on the pocket itself rather than the ball. |

Whilst the image is quite cliched it’s a cliché for a reason – it works. Certainly the negative space together with the jaunty angle of the boat combine to give an impression of speed, freedom and fun. The limited colour palette adds impact too. |
