Easton modeling for me yet again. Much thanks to him for standing on his head.

The title is the name of this yoga pose. I was iffy on it thinking people might not get it but it's about the photo anyhow!

This was a hard choice of which photo... sigh. With him getting tired and the sun setting this proved to be more difficult that I anticipated. But I did my best! Looking at it now I think this one is too light and the ISO too high for not being able to use neatimage. The other ones I took were too dark. Wish I had gotten some in the middle... it\'s hard to tell what looks good until you get it on the computer.

And my regular lens was acting up so I used my zoom lens and just couldn\'t seem to get far enough for what I wanted... running on the sand like an idiot while Easton is still on his head. It was fun though!

Editing:
Sharpen.
Resize.
Laugh. (is that allowed?)

Minimal editing is certainly a learning experience.

Too hard to tell what the subject of the shot is, not really minimalist... The sun is far too blown-out as well.

I have searched through the challenge for those entries where the negative space is more than just a plain black or white backdrop because, whilst I think that technique often makes for some really strong and high impact images, I’m particularly drawn to entries where the negative space is relevant to the subject itself and actually contributes to the impact of the picture in a contextual as well as purely compositional way.

Absolutely perfect timing in terms of the position of that bird and the entire composition works well. I’d probably rotate fractionally to straighten the horizon and might even slice a sliver off the top to push the horizon further away from the centre but those are both minor suggestions. Lighting is beautiful and I really feel like I’m there.

This is one of my faves of the challenge. I love the mood and tranquility and I cannot believe you got the bird in the shot where you did - awesome!

Nice timing and capture. Bit of a stretch for the challenge IMO -- minimal subject matter but not really minimalism -- but well done nonetheless.
