My true Loveby BaldurComment: Was hoping I'd get a PM about the pencil thing! Oh well :( I am willing myself to understand and to see the creativity as I think this is a beautiful shot. I look forward to reading comments or additional info later if any is posted. Kavey |

Just testing-- How flat is Table Mountain?by andrewmComment: This reminds me of those photos all the tourists take of themselves "holding up" the Eiffel Tower or Leaning Tower of Pisa! I like it! It's silly and yet includes a stunning landscape. I like how low it sits in the frame, with all that expanse of sky above it. 6, Kavey |

Colouringby lionelmComment: I have no idea what the picture is of and at first that put me off. After a couple more viewings I decided I liked the texture and colours so much it totally didn't matter what it was (if anything). It's a great background. 6, Kavey |

FaberCastellby john22132Comment: Lovely lighting through the ice and good colour in the pencil. Not sure the lower foreground does anything for the photo. 7, Kavey |

Pencil-Necked Geekby ClubJuggleComment: Very cute but don't like the background, though I am sure it is deliberate... to show a bored day at the office or playing with office stationery or such perhaps? But I tend not to like busy and cluttered backgrounds. 5, Kavey PS Does Barbie know you've stolen Ken's shoes? ;) |

Chemistryby jaxxComment: Colourful, sort of abstract-ish, pretty. Would like a whiter background, and a more even distance between the sets of two. The middle set feels like it should be over to the left a bit. This matters (for me) on this shot because it's so highly graphical, like a repeating set. 6, Kavey |

Time's Up!by autoolComment: I really like the detail in the hand - Hey I can even see the grime under the nail ;) I also like that there is no desk showing - that it's close enough in that the exam paper makes the whole of the background and yet it's actually foreground at the same time! Also like the way the (2) on the pencil is so carefully positioned. 6, Kavey |

Stubbyby npageComment: Like colours, think background green really adds something. Feels unbalanced, too heavy to the left, perhaps because the pencil doesn't touch the edge of the frame but the shavings do. I like the way that only a tiny bit of the text remains on the pencil, just enough to give an abstract pattern, nothing more. 6, Kavey |

Sketching the next generationby marcvgComment: Interesting idea, nice composition using the angles of the pencil and the lines within the sketch. A little two monotone for, but that's purely personal preference. 5, Kavey |
