Good capture of emotion!

oh, the horrible memories this brings back. Nice unique idea. I like the story it evokes.

Oh, yes! This hits the nail right on the head! Makes me smile! Great picture.

I really like the detail in the hand - Hey I can even see the grime under the nail ;)
I also like that there is no desk showing - that it's close enough in that the exam paper makes the whole of the background and yet it's actually foreground at the same time! Also like the way the (2) on the pencil is so carefully positioned.

You didn't tell me the title when I first saw it or I forgot. Like the idea and the title. really makes the picture.

So true, so true. I could see this hanging in a classroom. Lighting and angle are both very nice. Definateley has originality. I have to wonder though what you do for a living. The tips of your fingers look like thay have worked very hard toward something. (I hope it wasn't this test. LOL). It adds a bit of mystery to this photo for me. The dark area that your hand makes is very dark, but I don't think I would change it because you would have to change the positioning of your hand, and then it just wouldn't be the same. Great job and good luck in the challenge.

I was going to shoot a pic nearly the same. I'm glad I didn't. Excellent. If I had shot this, I was going to name mine "Frustration."

Creative. The broken tip of the pencil conveys the idea of frustration, making this photo 'emotional'. Very nice.
08/20/2002 02:44:00 PM
That's why you're supposed to bring TWO number 2 pencils. ;-)
08/20/2002 02:42:00 PM
the correct answer was c, a, e, d, c, b. now you know

good idea nicely done
08/20/2002 06:31:00 AM
Great idea.

Great idea. The only thing that makes this different from my test pencils is that the end isn't chewed enough. ;-)
08/19/2002 05:58:00 PM
I can just sense the frustration! That makes this successful. Also technically good.
08/19/2002 05:10:00 PM
argh! haven't we all been there?! good execution, too.
08/19/2002 12:16:00 PM
I understand why you broke the lead. It's not easy righting with the correct hand when your so used to using the wrong.
08/19/2002 10:31:00 AM
Good idea that is brought across well.
08/19/2002 10:06:00 AM
this tells a great story! how many of us have been THERE at some point in our lives?! I love it
