For me this is more about upcoming childhood than actual childhood - though perhaps if one has younger siblings there is the memory of mum's belly, and touching it and waiting for the addition to the family to arrive?
Is the high contrast and low depth of colour intentional?

The train looks lovely on the floor, but the inclusion of furniture, skirting board and so much wall don't enhance it for me.
If the floor is big enough, it would be good if it was the entire background.

Interesting idea. A little dark overall. The dragon is blocking one of the musrhooms and because he is dark is blending a little into the darkness of the grass behind.

Something about this makes me want to turn it upside down. That's mostly all I can think of, the urge is so strong.
I have absolutely no idea why that's the case though!
Nice colours, perhaps need to position the item more accurately within the frame, as one corner is missing whereas there's lots of floor showing on the other side.
