Golf BCby brumosComment: Lovely light - taken at just the right time of day. |

www.cuartoscuro.comby diegohsComment: Great portrait! Lighting seems very odd - seems to be a shaft of sunlight falling only on his nose - perhaps taking a shot a few seconds earlier or later might have caught him with light on more of his face. I'd also, personally, prefer the background to be thrown out of focus more, though the demonstration (?) behind may be relevant to the story? Would be an 8 or 9 with better lighting and less distracting background. |

Guns & Ammoby JB707Comment: Well taken, interesting angle. Content doesn't excite me in any way but I'm willing to assume that it does the business for gun lovers. |

Outdoor Photographerby progersctComment: Nice idea - one of the main problems I find with sunset shots is that there is seldom a really striking focal point - clever idea to make yours tie in to the title so well. I'd prefer that I couldn't see the tripod leg - kind of loses the silhouette effect a little - but that's a minor point.
I prefer this in portrait - cropping a lot from the left and just a little from the right. |

Skid Finby timj351Comment: Love the water spray - tilted horizon doesn't work for me in this particular instance. |

Runners worldby kengurinnComment: Excellent capture of motion and concentration. Nice clean background - no extraneous objects in view. Only preference would be for a little more sky to be included at top of frame - feels a little too closely cropped to me. |

Playboatingby vjozComment: Fantastic capture of motion and effort. Only improvements for me would be more fill-in light on his face and for his eyes to be more visible.
Not keen on border treatment. |

Better Gardensby pitsamanComment: Lovely colours but not so keen on the central composition - feels a little unbalanced to me. |

Surfer Magazineby jab119Comment: Good capture. Personally, I would like this even better if we had eye contact with the surfer or if his face was turned more to the camera. That said, it's a good angle as it is and his expression is full of concentration - I can imagine it being popular with other serious surfers. |
