Very nice stop action here. Composition and capture are wonderful. Colors seem just a tad washed and the clarity is just a bit off, but super shot nonetheless. 8

Nice shot. I used to run long distance myself. Might have been a nice touch if you could have had the runner looking at the camera.

Excellent capture of motion and concentration. Nice clean background - no extraneous objects in view. Only preference would be for a little more sky to be included at top of frame - feels a little too closely cropped to me.

"Runners World" emphasizes almost 100% distance running. I have subscribed in the past and never seen a track event on the cover.

What an athlete! He looks like an amazing ballet dancer. Great photo.

very good shot. Needs a tiny brightness boost to make it pop, but great action, and love your composition. The lines are awesome and the intense face of the hurdler is awesome.

Excellent photo. Can't find anything wrong. Did you get out of his way before he hit you? -10

Rotate this about a degree to the right, there is a slight left tilt to the shot. Both in the green horizon line, and the hurdles. I wish that the focus could have been a little crisper on the runner. More stop motion would look great in my opinion. Looks liek this could be a Nike Ad.

Nice photo! If you would take the obstacle away you would have a funny picture.

I think this a a good Idea. I will not dock you anything since the runner is to high over the hurddle. Not to mention they appear to be set at the Female level. Good depth of field and once again Nice Idea.

Excellent set up. I can read the title on the bottom of the magazine already. - Perfect 10.

The exposure could be a little nicer. But the shot, overall, is very effective. And anyways, it would go through Photoshop before it got to the cover... so it could easily be fixed. Very good shot.

Great action shot. It made me hope that you or your camera didn't get squashed when he came over the next hurdle. Defnitely looks like a magazine cover.

You took this one at exactly the perfect moment. Very nicely composed, but I think the color needs just a little more "pop".

Great stop action shot... unfortunately the subject doesn't quite look in focus... looks like your focus is on the background and not the guy... You could definitely put wording at the bottom of this, if this was in focus it would have been great.

Great capture! The sports action and closeness of this shot is amazing. If he had been looking toward the camera with a neat expression it would have been even better, but you have to work with what you are given in these situations. I could easily see this on the front of the magazine. The only negative is that the colors look a little dull and flat, but looking at the sky it would seem you had a cold, dull day to shoot. Again, you have to work with what you got and what you got is pretty good!

I think it would have been better if you gave the athlete a bit more headroom, not just for this magazine cover challenge, just in general. Still, you've made a nice shot.

excellent action shot. IMO you should be using slower shutter speed to get effect of motion on his arms and legs, but this is OK also. = 7

This is a great shot, but I think the subject is to head on. You might try taking the shot a a slight 45 degree angle but otherwise good job! :) 8
