I love the content - there's such an energy and vitality to it. The shapes are great. I don't think it lends itself well to backlighting - my main thought is that more light on their faces and less behind would improve the image.

A lovely image. I'm assuming it's a candid - even if not, it has a candid feel about it. Nice use of light and good choice to go black and white.

I don't understand why the title has only TIFY showing when the wrist bands in the image show "..estify". The image itself is strong, moody and those eyes really keep me focused.

This to me is a great (though not original) idea that has not been executed as well as it could have. Why do I say that? Because, if one uses a frame to highlight a segment of the overall image, there should be some discernable compositional strength to what is included within that frame. Whilst I like the inclusion of the bike, and it's lower left position within the frame, I really dislike the inclusion of a series of anonymous legs. I also don't like the way the curb fights for attention with the left vertical of the frame. I also can't see that what is outside of the frame adds much to the image - those women at the right are quite distracting. I think it would be nice to have the frame used to isolate one small detail or scene (the bike would work) within a larger scene (the street) but ensure that interior and exterior both had interest and strength. If this doesn't make sense, just drop me a line, though I'm offline for a week so don't be upset if you don't get an immediate response. :o)

With the exception of the harsh lighting hitting the top edges of the frame, I like this very much, particularly the way that the hand is focused and the face is not. Without that harsh light on the frame it would be a perfect low key image.

I like how the framing provides an understanding of the environment and also how the two gravestones are alone in the field. Unusual.

Through the Keyhole

Through the Keyhole

What a superbly realised keyhole peeper photo. The eye contact works very well, the choice to show just that amount of nose and mouth and face is also spot on. The slight tilt of the face is just right. Lighting works. All in all this comes together well. Whereas normally I'd prefer to see detail in the foreground subject (such that it not be simply a custom border shape) I think that's not relevant when the shape itself is as recognisable as a keyhole shape. Am I right to assume this is not a real keyhole but a much larger one cut into card?

Looking out? Hope he has an accurate aim. Witty, though not original. Nicely done.

Clever interpretation with nice dual meaning added by title, though works even without it.

Lovely idea and I like the clean, modern result. I'd personally crop a touch more from the bottom.
