What a wonderful journalistic image. This may not be half as strong for non-Brits but it really communicates SO much and so strongly to me. I love the framing and the tonal range and the composition and the head torch and just the whole thing. Absolutely fantastic industrial portrait. 10

Stunning though contrast seems a touch high and compression hasn't done any favours to that lovely halo of light around his body. BEAUTIFUL capture - can't wait to learn more about where and how this was taken!

Cloud lovely - colour and shape both work well. Composition overall excellent too with nearly-silhouetted buildings below anchoring sky and cloud. Let down for me by the shape of those nearly-silhouette buildings. Though there could be something to be said for the contrast between mundane buildings and the exciting cloud I think I'd like it even more were that row of buildings less urban with it's aerials and apartment block shapes and more exciting too.

I knew the British Museum would make it into this challenge! Could do with more contrast - too much grey tone and not enough light ones for my preferences. Nice composition.

Lovely close crop, nice capture on the skin - no oily areas, great texture on the skin too (she has fantastic skin), lovely detail in the eyelashes, like the unusual angle. What happened when she was applying the lipstick - it's a bit all over the place? Lovely shot though.
