 Okay.. my last picture didn't do badly like I thought it would, so this time I simply must enter one that will! This is the silhouette of a dead, unopened rose against my computer monitor background. I've had this idea for some time, but decided at the last minute to do it in silhouette.. so no interesting backgrounds; I was pretty much out of time and had other things to do. This is a snapshot with an abstract or inkblot feel.

Editing: Cropped slightly, resized, curves, levels, hue/saturation, NeatImage.

Only thing that detracts from this image IMO is that it is cropped very tight on the right. Otherwise this is a fine picture.

Intriguing silhouette subject enhanced by simplicity of background... but what a shame about the somewhat severe artifacts, presumably from compression.
