Above It Allby LevTComment: Nice shot, but I'm not seeing this as a good example of negative space, especially with the parasailor competing with the sunset for attention. I miss that view, though, I really do :-) What with having taught at UCSD and golfed at Torrey Pines so often in the springing of my youth (said the 78-year-old man marooned under a blanket of right-coast snow). |

IMG_20250206_140312by WildpurpleComment: Well, you have lots of negative space, but it's not interacting with the subject in any defining way. And forgive me for saying this so bluntly, but for me the border is absolutely hideous and ruins whatever positive feelings I might have had about the image :-( |

Flight by MaryOComment: Perfect! The last one in my voting queue and my only 10 :-) Just immaculate. Curiously, this would serve equally well as a "Simplicity" entry... |

You are Mineby jomariComment: That's bizarre. The tree trunk looks older than the door panel :-) |

Emma & Ginger by rozComment: I'm having a hard time seeing this as a "centered composition" with respect to the challenge. For me, the goal was to create an entry where the focus of the image was centered vertically and horizontally. If it were evenly lit the image would pretty much fulfill that criterion, but the heavy vignette pulls the eye to the top third of the image. So there's that... In all respects, this is a terrific image, beautifully processed. I can't give you my highest score, but I will lay an 8 on ypu. |

Dear Santa, Please send me a new drone. by markwileyComment: Geesh, Mark, that's exactly what my MY Mavic 3 looked like when it got stuck in, and then fell from, a tall tree. Amazingly, I got it back from DJI as a whole new body/camera: no repair, a replacement. $125.00 bill STUNNED me... |
