acrylic on canvasby tommccabeComment: thanks for all of the comments - i really appreciate them. i was extremely happy with my score and placement in this challenge. to respond to a few thoughts: - i did take shots using perspective and trying to capture the painting at different angles, but i didn't like how it looked. my camera wasn't able to capture a good, crisp image at an angle. i used this shot because i liked the level of detail that was captured from the canvas. - would have liked to have used two colors, yeah. but i had to work with what i had. i took pictures of a lot of my recent paintings and this was the one that i really fell in love with because of the big gloop of paint in the middle. other shots that i took of the other paintings jusdt didn't have the same feel or detail. but thanks again for all of the comments. i do appreciate them! |

Pink Murexby autoolComment: The shell looks great - excellent detail and sharp. I like that. I think it would have looked better if there was some sort of texture in the background, as well. Maybe on sand or something that wouldn't overpower the shell itself. But the fact that you got the background so dark and sharp is very impressive. |

Wild Ponies of Corollaby menracComment: Great shot! I was down on the Outer Banks about a month and a half ago and I took a ride through Corolla and the beach area and saw all of the horses. So beautiful. To get them posed like this is even better! One of my favorites this week, but it would be even better if the feet weren't cut off at the bottom. I love the photo, though! |

fingers and toesby MrsKroComment: The black & white color with the graininess create a great photo. I like this. |

Lonelyby GoatfatherComment: Great depth of field, but I think this would have been better if the background was completely filled with the dark rocks and not broken up with the water (if that is what it is). It just seems distracting. Still, a great shot and a fantastic idea. |

Bottle Rocketby Frank BeckmanComment: After lighting off so many bottle rockets in the last two weeks, this one holds a special place in my heart. It's a very well done photo, great job! |

Slice of Pie in the Skyby spidermanComment: Very technically proficient shot, the detail of this is great. I think that this would only have been better if you could have kept the whole bottom of the moon in the shot. But still, the detail is incredible. I've gotta see what this was taken with. |
