Karmannby MatthewComment: Love Karmann Ghias. This is a very nice photograph; super composition/crop (especially as you presumably had to set the composition up in advance). Also love the reflected columns in the fender. The long exposure element is OK, just enough for movement. Simple but effective. 7 |

you never notice meby mandyturnerComment: Got my attention. It's very powerful, even without the terrific, disturbing title. Is it a relection in a window? Is that a light switch? Why is it there? Are those knees, in the bottom half of the image? Who never notices you? That's why I like it so much ... it's visually arresting and it raises more questions than it answers. My definition of art. 9 |

Corridorby ergoComment: Interesting and effective. The tones are terrific. The figure looks striking against the just-barely-there backdrop (which I assume is just a room in strong sunlight). Also love the square crop, which is unusual but arresting for this otherwise vertical subject. Makes for a really powerful composition. 8 |

The Bell Ringerby sajinComment: Very effective and unusual. It's clever, because the visually interesting part of the subject is the bell itself, and you've given us the opportunity to see it clearly (well, it's a tiny bit soft, but not enough to ruin the effect). Thus the blurred image of the bell ringer and his donger has two effects; it concentrates our attention on the bell, and it rings the bell (almost). 8 |

Pacific Nightsby elsapoComment: Really effective use of a longer exposure, and equally impressive use of the brain. Shows that there can be a lot more to long exposure than whirling sparklers or snaking car tail lights. Congratulations on producing this thoughtful, restrained, sympathetic study of your subject(s). 9 |

Spinning Umbrella Camouflageby tateComment: This is terrific. Great idea, inspired location, good composition, perfect crop, nice exposure, effective processing. Not much else to say, after all that. Bravo! 8 |

Nightlightby shobleyComment: Lovely crisp image showing several of the more interesting effects of a longer exposure at night; the beautiful deep sky, the repetition of the pools of light on the footpath, and the reflections of the other lights, etc. Also a very fine composition, well photographed and nicely processed. 8 |

untitledby kdeleonComment: Glenn Close, I guess. It's a very effective use of long exposure. I also like the graphic, high-contrast look you've gone for. And the two facial expressions are each perfect for their "part". Well done. 7 |

when it rainsby aznymComment: Very appealing minimalist style. The image unequivocally suggests wind, rain and a subject struggling to cope with it. The exposure is well chosen for the subject and the point you're making. Plus nice composition and deft processing. 7 |

Polar Windsby srbrubakerComment: I love this. I don't know what it is that you actually photographed, but the result is an image that fits your title perfectly. 7 |
