Challenge: Long Exposure (Advanced Editing IV)
Camera: Nikon D2X
Location: Indianapolis
Date: Jul 28, 2005
Aperture: F5
ISO: 200
Shutter: 1 second
Galleries: Cityscape, Architecture
Date Uploaded: Jul 29, 2005

Shot on the canal downtown in Indianapolis. Humidity contributed to "haze" effect. This was actually shot on a D70 not D2X with the kit lens.

Blue sky was a bonus, didn't really see it until I boosted the levels in Photoshop.

This is a very nice scene, I like the glow of the walkway lights and the waterway leading through the image.

Lovely crisp image showing several of the more interesting effects of a longer exposure at night; the beautiful deep sky, the repetition of the pools of light on the footpath, and the reflections of the other lights, etc. Also a very fine composition, well photographed and nicely processed. 8

A great and charming exposure more like stealing the beauty of the night. Bumping up.

great shot. I like the way the walkway draws your eye into the photo. I also like the fact that its not completely dark outside and the color of the sky gives off a nice highlight into the photo. Well done and good luck in this challenge. <8>

This would be such a great shot if it was rotated just a tad CCW to even the "horizon"

Very nice exposure on this night shot. Great use of lines to lead in to the photograph. The building on the left looks like it is going to fall over, and maybe a little more river on bottom so that is starts at the corner would make a better use of the line.

Beautiful!!! I think an improvement would be to align the picture with the bricks in the walkway. If I could vote, I'd give this an 8. Great work!

I like this but I think it would benefit if the frame were straigtened to match the edge of the building on the left. 8

Wish the bottom had been cropped out of this image. Lovely though.

needs to be rotated to the left a little bit, the tiles act as rulers in this case

grreat picture other than that

I love the softness that the lights create. Beautiful tones. Great title too.
