airborneby arngrimurComment: Lots of people try to do this and screw it up (me, for instance). You didn't; you've captured the mad, frantic rush to get airborne beautifully. Plus great contrast, of course. 8 |

One Monday Afternoonby ergoComment: Wonderful, fascinating image. Great subjects, deft composition and of course all sorts of contrast, both literal and figurative. 10. |

WAITINGby PhilosComment: She's a great model (your sister, I think?) ... I like every image she's in. You've included several interesting & effective contrasts here (colours, textures, ages, even the composition itself), by thinking outside the square. Well done. 8 |

Waiting for Somethingby JPRComment: I always enjoy seeing what you see, JP. Always audacious, always interesting, always challenging the viewer. This one is all of those things and I love it. Favourite. |

stairsby whiteroomComment: There's so much I love about this image, on so many levels. Superficially; the exposure, the colours and the smack-in-the-face gritty processing are a testament to your photographic skills. But beneath all that lies the real power of the photograph - the clever, cerebral composition, made especially so by the inclusion of the two detached profiles encroaching on the left. At this level, it challenges the viewer's imagination with an irresistible force bordering on an interrogation! I think that's a wonderful artistic achievement. This is just about my absolute favourite DPC image, Lesley. Just about my favourite image from any source, in fact. Thanks! Message edited by author 2005-09-05 22:10:29. |
