Aspen Mistby dsidwellComment: Very nice. I like the soft, mystical feel of this image. Great DOF. Makes the forest look like it goes on and on forever. If I had any constructive feedback at all I would suggest trying to lose the top left corner where you see some sky. It distracts a bit from the depth of the image - makes me feel like I'm at the edge of the woods looking in rather than being in the middle of the forest. Regardless, congrats on a great shot!
Smile and keep having fun! ;^)

IMG_1499.jpgby ArtanComment: Ok - The thumbnail pulled me in. I wanted to know what the image was and couldn't tell from the smaller size. Now that I've seen it I want to know more about it. Looks like a story to tell here - perhaps you could tell us in the "Photographers's Comments"?
The smoke and orange/red light make this an interesting image to look at. The reflections on the guys jacket on the train make me wonder if he is an authority type figure looking at maybe a fire? Both guys looking to the side and forward pull the viewer toward the colored smoke. The leading lines of the track edge, train, and overhead also help pull the viewer into the image.
Good catch! ;^) |

Sharingby Moose101Comment: That must have taken some patience to get that chipmunk close enough to capture this on film? Around our place they are quite skittish...of course the three dogs may have something to do with that. ;^) Nice shot! |

Street momsby LevTComment: Even thou it's kind of like a snapshot, it has character. They are posing and pointing...but you get a sense of excitement from their faces. Well captured and fun to look at. Thanks for sharing this.

Feeling The Jazzby frumoazniculComment: Cool image. Looks like he really enjoys his music. Was this from the Johann Strauss International Festival at the Athenaeum? |

Autumn by steinarComment: Wow! Great photo. Congratulations. I can't help but be drawn to her eyes, and sorry if this is rude, but it appears her left eye (our right when viewing) appears larger. The white space makes it more evident.
Anyway...very pretty girl. Nice lighting, composition and DOF. Good luck on the challenge. |

Waitby JaimesonComment: Great capture - made me smile. You can just feel the tension in the dog waiting for permission to get the treat! ;^) I know you probably didn't position the dog for this shot, rather more of a spur-of-the-moment type thing - but you might consider (with Photoshop, PSP, etc...) selecting the dog, the floor up to the treat, and a little background to the right, and get rid of the remaining distractions. A little sharpening on the dog's face would help too.
Smile and keep having fun! |
