Very nice tones, color and contrast. I'm glad you picked a slight rise in the sand (or outward extension, hard to tell) as it breaks up what would have been a static shoreling in parallel with the horizon. As a portrait it probably could stand to be a little tighter on the young lady, but still a nice shot nonetheless. Good luck in the challenge.

Of all the pet portraits in this challenge I like this one the best. The color of the sofa works great to isolate the dog. The lighting is perfect for this shot as well. Doesn't seem put off too much by the camera. :D Good luck in the challenge.

edit to update. Well you got bumped by a cat portrait. (don't tell Gilly!). Still my favorite dog portrait of all the pet ones. :D

Well it is a pet portrait, but one well done at that. Wonderful focus - I can almost feel the fur it's so detailed. If I could make one change it would be to have the cat looking just a little more toward you, but it's still fine as is. Everything else, nicely done. Good luck in the challenge.

This is fun. I like the emotion and you've captured some of this guy's character. Little motion adds to the realism of this portrait. Auctioneer? Well done. Good luck in the challenge.

Ok. People portraits obviously ok. Pet portraits, mostly fine. Portrait of a swan? Hmmmm...little bit of a stretch IMO. What you have put together in this photo is nice. The swan is very well represented in color and focus. The background water pattern is quite different. Seems unnatural, although I'm sure it is. Anyway, best of luck to you in the challenge.

Nice composition. The fan adds a nice touch. The eyes are well focused, which is good, but the makeup (white streak) is not so flattering. A little over the top on the red lipstick as well. Probably what you were going for, but not overly appealing for me personally. Also just noticed that the area under her chin appears yellowish in relation to the rest of her face and neck. Good luck in the challenge.

This has an interesting twist. It's quite crisp and well focused from what I can see (it's REALLY small). The mask, well...not sure what to say about that. Hard to know how this photo could have really done being so small. That's going to impact the score regardless of how good the photo might be. All JMO of course. Good luck.

Love the expression on her face. Nice candid pose. Wish the tonal range was a little wider. Either needs some levels adjustment and/or added contrast IMO. Best of luck to you in the challenge.

And she's STILL waiting while you take the photograph. :D Items well positioned for this shot. Nice color tones. The texture in her jacket seems almost 3D-ish - jumps right out there. Proper expression on her face. Only nit is her hat blending into the wall being the same colors. Good luck in the challenge.

Lovely background. Good colors and clarity. Can't help but wonder how long he had to hold his arm up for this shot (no water dripping and hand/arm seem stiff/posed). :D Good luck in the challenge.
