This is so close to being a classic that it hurts – for me, the bit missing is the rest of the bag and the string and a bit more of ground. The central theme is tops, evokes great childhood memories, it's got great feel, it tells a story – only thing wrong here (in my opinion) is there's to much of the central theme. Loses points, but I like the idea so muchâ€Â¦ I like the colour - I like the picture. I really am tempted to hit the 10 – but 9 is justifiedâ€Â¦ Good luckâ€Â¦

I love the reddish tint in the shot – it gives a rust effect and creates atmosphere. Overall, it looks old – you may find people comment on sharpness, but I for one think it would lose personality it were sharp. It looks like it's a deliberate attempt to look older, so, I'm going to mark as suchâ€Â¦ (9) Great shotâ€Â¦

This is a really good shot; I'm glad you stayed with colour. I don't think it needs B&W or sepia treatment - the rust looks superb, and I think that'd be lost without colour. One small gripe – the focus is a bit off, but that – for me anyway - doesn't detract much from the picture (9)

This is a really great picture from every technical aspect. Personally, I don't really find the subject too good on the eye. Therefore I feel there are much better content pictures in the challenge. But, I'm not sure that personal taste should enter the equation. The picture is great and the challenge is fully met and I should give it 10â€Â¦ (9) One for the forums I thinkâ€Â¦
