In terms of the shot in general, I can't say there's any real flaw. But, perhaps the composition could be improved. I think cropping the shot so the apple isn't quite so central would help. More importantly, the branch in the background that is invading the apple's subject area is a big distraction. (5) Good luck, sorry to be so negative.

This is a dramatic shot, but I personally feel it lacks something. The flames look great, but it's difficult to work out where the subject ends and the background begins. Perhaps some form of fill lighting on the subject would have enhanced the image. Sorry to sound so negativeâ€Â¦ Good luckâ€Â¦

This is a very clever idea that has translated very well into a photographâ€Â¦ You're right, it is mad, but it's also a very good shot. DOF or camera shake has let down the little fruit boat but the islands all work beautifully, the colours are rich and full and the broccoli trees are excellent. Superb inventiveness (9)
