Wow. I've never even personally been to war. but this image touches me as if I had. It's challenging to decide whether any war in general is heroric or not of course, but the personal sacrifice by each and every soldier, onboth sides, has to be heroric in nature. Surely?! This gets a nine from me because it's so well composed and so emotively stimulating. Well done!

Such a difficult challenge to judge given the subjective nature of impressionism.

This image expressed "wet to the bone" in a clear yet casual manner. It's a very good interpretation of impressionism imo. The trees and wotnot don't seem to contribute to me. I gave you a 9. Good luck!

This was a very difficult challenge to vote on. Impressionism is so very subjective.

For me, this piece effectively captures a transition from a hetic worldly life to a caring concentration toward a subject held personally precious. An excellent interpretation of impressionism imo and very well executed. Well done and good luck. 10.

This piece is very good. There's a real visual/audio/feeling transmutational mix here I personally relate to. A very good interpretation of impressionism imo. Well done! Good luck! 10.

Such a difficult challenge to judge with "impressionism" being such a subjective thing.

In general, I just love this piece. It has an obtuse obviousness about being evidentally an attempt to define impressionism itself through the use of same.

There is something about the photo-clarity of the easil and artist's hand breaking the contrast of mother nature vs. the human, which I find somehow unsettling.

So hard to rate amonst the other great submissions! 9. Good luck!

This is a lovely image, well composed and very nicely post processed. However I can not personally detect the "impressionism" intended. In a free challenge I'd have rated this an 8. Hopefully others will catch your drift more easily than I. Good luck!

You have produced an excellent emotive and artful image here. For my own taste (subjective) the image is a little too crisp and/or harsh to fit my personal ideas of "impressionism." In a free study I'd have given a 9 as this overall compostion here is just beautiful in it's communication. Well done. 7.

Aren't the shadows on the sand from light pointing the opposite direction to the shadows of the people? Looks as though it's not a single photo, but an overlay of two. Kinda weird and confusing to the brain. Another level of humor I guess. :)

Hmmm. I like the grain. It's realistic for the low light levels involved. Different preferences I guess.
