Now I like this! This reminds me of 1999, 1 photo out of a 24 roll...all in the first one..I didnt load it right and got many faces into one..
This is different... I like the way its almost got 3 or more positions of the guy playing...He looks like he rocks too! |

Reminds me more of DuChamp's "Nude Descending a Staircase" than any Impressionist work. Don't get me wrong, I like this, but it just doesn't say anything Impressionistic to me. The motion blur here conveys an idea of fluid motion, a series of moments captured in one frame, rather than the deconstruction of a moment of light into fragments of color. |

The swirling colors and the shape of the guitarist's face remind me of Edvard Munch's "The Scream" -- very nice! |

Nice shot John. Good to see a challenge where this stuff is encouraged. This is usually how I experience a band after a few pops... |

this is a little too motion-blurred to accomplish an impressionistic effect, in my opinion |

Clapton? I like this effect more and more each time I view it, but the 'second' exposure in his chin to nose area freaks me out too much like there is a trapped soul screaming to get out. |

Great angle showing the intensity his jamming. Love the shift of colors which IMO makes the image along with the motion...nice representation of a modern impressionist image. |

This was a very difficult challenge to vote on. Impressionism is so very subjective.
This piece is very good. There's a real visual/audio/feeling transmutational mix here I personally relate to. A very good interpretation of impressionism imo. Well done! Good luck! 10. |

returning for comments.
A nice effect and capturing, not exactly an impressionistic, but a dazzling artistic feel which peeks into the spirit of the challenge. Bumping up. |

Good try but I just feel that if there are two components to this photograph (the original image and the camera technique/distortion/filter) then together they don't amount to more than the sum of their individual parts. |

i'm sure this was fun, as well as work. to a degree, i'd say the results were worth the effort. as i'm more of a fan of lighter impressionistic images, this one doesn't really engage and make me want spend a lot of time soaking it in. on the other hand, you have captured a certain vitality that is not easily discarded. |

Reminds me of Setzler's pic that he became very attached to despite (or maybe because of) it's poor placement in a challenge. This technique used in this context doesn't really say a lot to me, and looks a bit gimmicky. It doesn't come across to me as impressionistic... I don't feel a mood created by the use of this technique. 4 |

Brave of you to do a non nature image? I like the motion blur and tilt here. colors are interesting and subject is engaging. 8 |
