Good use of DOF here. Unfortunately, the lines on the calendar days are leading the eyes to the blurry background rather than the focal point. Also, you might have considered cropping out the bottom of the calendar in the lower right corner. Lastly, the apple with the bite out of it has noticable spots and doesn't look as yummy as some of the ones in the background. This was a very creative idea and was well-titled. Good luck in the challenge.

This is amusement appeal. This shot would have benefited from a less cluttered background. Additionally, if the apple had been entirely red against the green grass or a blue sky, that would have worked better as well. Instead of a stick in the ground, you might have used a flowering shrub or at least something with leaves to add believability. This was a very creative idea.

This image has a documentary feel rather than giving the viewer a glimpse of creative inspiration. The fold in the newspaper detracts from the image. Personally, I'd rather see the photographer's attempt at something similar rather than just a picture of someone else's picture.
