taken with my beloved 50mm macro lens, lite by 1 tungston lamp.

IN PS-
rotated 90*CCW
slected the cion and and took it to B&W
then inverted the coin and made a series of Brightness, Contrast, and Curve adjustments
slected the rest of the image and applied brightness and contrast till everything but the coin went black
croped up till the head was almost fill frame as it is now
resized to 640 at 150kb

i hope it works well enough for the challenge i didn't have to crop it but it seems far more affective if i do...so i did...... i will post the other crops and the full version after the challenge

Very nice focus on this macro shot. I can almost see your reflection in his eye! I think it is unfortunate the nickel was so nicked up. This would have been excellent on a highly polished "proof" nickel.

Nice macro, I never realized how rugged Jefferson was. I wouldn't want to run into him in a dark alley, provided this was the 1770's of course.
