Highly underrated. Your pose is fantastic. Makeup is very good, hair is gorgeous, the angle is great. The lighting is absolutely appropriate to the picture. She's extremely beautiful too... This is a VERY flattering angle for this picture.

The only thing I'm concerned by is a slight unnaturalness in your eyes. Tough to say for sure though. Did you whiten with visine or dodge?

There seems to be a bit of a softness to the picture though that makes me feel like there could have been a bit more sharpening or contrast... Your skin seems a bit in-between. Not really soft, and not really sharp. That does have the potential to look good, but I don't think it's a positive here. I am currently trying to understand how so I can make better pictures myself. I suspect that what other's have said about flat lighting may have been a contributing factor...

I think this pic would be very fun with a light touch of ethereal glow. You've got fabluous cheekbones for it.

An absolutely perfect shot in my books. I love the skin textures in the high tones. I also like the perfect balance of your daughters' poses behind your wife, having exactly the right parts of their face/eye covered.

Too bad you mentioned that she's a smoker. There is something so incredibly unsexy about a girl that smokes... To the point that even her appearance doesn't look the same afterwards.

There's almost a sort of tranquility here. The stopping of motion becomes a part of the picture that is not just a photographic characteristic. Neat shot. I love that spring flying around all by itself. To me, it makes the photograph.

The more you worked with it? Perhaps a very low processing version could be posted and we could more easily judge the photo...

I feel that this looks quite soft, but it looks like you have some odd filters going on here. Perhaps what would have worked better would have been to keep the Eagle head sharp, but put the filter on the background instead...

I have heard that recommended USM settings on 0 sharpening images from the 20D is 300, 0.3, 0. I have been using 80-90, 0.3, 0 on images from my S2 which are probably going to be fairly sharpened already in camera, and I have had some pretty decent results. You might want to give those settings a play-with for your eagle?
