Anabela & Antonio Jorgeby atsxusComment: A great pose/angle and composition. Yes, your new flash with bounce (and diffuse) will make a huge difference in the shadow and contrast.
One suggestion on this type of a photo is to remember how close to the wall the couple is and to use a much smaller DOF to try and blur as much of the background as you can. (not always possible, but PS can give you some control over that as well.) |

Spike - Up Close and Personalby RikkiComment: The fibers add a contrast to the rest of the image that I don't think detracts at all unless you want to only focus on the sharp lines of the spikes. |

Burnby RikkiComment: I like this image. It is well balanced and focused just where it needs to be. The color and burn are great contrasts. The border does not seem to add anything to the whole. I see areas of patchy white blocks that have been added to the interior (perhaps to create a more high key approach, but on a calibrated monitor, are distracting (making the matches look added in as opposed to photgraphed).
I personally would drop the border and try to match the white blocked areas to the rest of the grey background (may need to increase the brightness on your monitor to see what I am seeing.) |

IMG_4376 copy 800.jpgby ButterflySisComment: Had I not known I was perusing your portfolio, I would have mistaken the processing to have come from Heida! Great and dramatic effects! |

Fly bye.jpgby pumaComment: I really like the 60's war-era feel to these images. Neatimage would have killed em. |

Pattern Hunterby ArtysteComment: I like the art and the hand. It however leads me to wonder if this art was a flooring, and the child/baby crawling through the pattern (shot from above or a high angle) what effect it would have. It would be somewhat surreal. |

What's That?by ArtysteComment: A great capture of an expressive moment! Wonder what the effect would be to crop a portrait style from this image, leaving out the vacuum and catching only Megan and the space between to the left. I think it would have an even more powerful touch. |

Alice, Dear Alice, You are so Disturbedby ArtysteComment: Well, you've already heard the stuff bout the light on her mouth, but not sure if you know how it could be most easily fixed...
The Clone Tool in PS has an option for color, rather than normal. Clone an area of her face that is the darker coloration and then switch to the color option and fill in the area that is lighter using a < 20% opacity until it is just right, then we all stop mentioning it.
By the way. I love this image. It is classic and eerie. |
