NYC Ladyby gregmComment: Subject is stationary as is environment. Other moving subjects are blurred. This is not motion panning, this is long exposure. Focus on a moving target and pan the camera with that subject, opening the shutter and continuing to move with the main focus. This causes the environment to blur giving a real sense of action. |

Joustingby ToyaComment: Nice timing for exposure. Background translates movement well. Tracking the horse's head instead of the rider has caused the rider's form to appear affected by camera shake and this image would have been more appealing to me to have the horse somewhat in motion with the rider and lance as sharp as possible. Great choice of subject! |

Flutter Byby ShannonLeeComment: Not quite enough exposure time on this one. Appears to be more lack of DOF type blurring, than motion panning. Horse is obviously in motion, but the background is not what translates this to me. Nice sharp image and good quality tones. |

Going homeby romiComment: Image exposure is muddy, not enough light. Tracking is slightly off leaving impression of camera shake. Open F stop a bit more or up the ISO. Pan smoothly with subject and keep moving while shutter opens. |

Pats Fanby RingostarrComment: Good addition to family album. Bit overexposed and would have had much more impact if the transportation had been included in an 'action' shot as opposed to a 'hey I'm moving so you can take my picture' pose. Nice tracking vs environment. |

The Fastest Game On Iceby mike_dComment: Appearance here is that you were tracking the puck which is solidly stopped in motion. Unfortunately, the skater's helmet is somewhat camera shook and detracts a bit from the impact. Good image, wrong focal point imo. |

Freezingby ace flymanComment: Complete loss of stop motion probably due to too long an exposure. |

Bike Trickby FastexposureComment: The image's potential for impact is lost on the complete lack of stop motion. Too long an exposure gave the subject ample time to move and not be stopped in action. |

Sea Breezeby BarkingMadComment: Overexposure of image causes a real problem with blown highlights vying for attention loss of contrast in subject. Slightly off track, causing a minor feeling of out of focus rather than stop motion. Lots of challenges in this capture that really need strong panning/tracking and perfect exposure. |
