A/Cby MrsKroComment: Lovely B&W and great subject. But taken very front-on. Would have been more interesting at a 45 degree angle. |

The Forgotten 8mmby sylkComment: As an old 35mm projectionist this really appeals to me. Lovely subject, angle and lighting - superb. |

Valentines Dayby rll07Comment: What a great subject for this challenge - I also like the way we can see the creases in this old document. The contrast is a little low and focus is a shade off on the left but other wise it's a great shot. |

The Choice of An Old Generationby csbComment: This is neat but Im not sure I understand *why* the bottle has moved. Lighting is great, as is focus. Technically a great shot. |

hats hats hatsby snsComment: Good choice of subject and lighting. Framing was pretty good but I think I'd like to have seen just a bit more of the hats. |

Milenary Artby amonteforteComment: Excellent subject and I love your use of the metal background with the light behind it. Creative thinking! Works REALLY well. |

(c) 1897by malapropamComment: Absolutely splendid arrangement here - I love the book, the ribbon and the candles. I think you could have cropped just a shade closer in but it's no biggie. Im afraid the biggie is that you've used a method of shrinking your picture down to 640x480 that has made the lines in your book turn into dashed lines. I'm positive that the original shot wasn't like that. When you resized your picture down you probably used something like bicubic, bilinear or nearest neighbor. You should try using "resample" instead. It gives better results in almost every case. But you might need a small amount of sharpening after you've done it. This is such a great shot I'm still giving you an 8. The light and arrangement are *excellent*. - floyd |
