BAD DOG, GET OUT OF THE STREET!!!by NowaytotellComment: Poor pup! I think this opportunity had great potential, and I like much of what you've done. However I think there is way too much sky included; I would crop it down to the point of the roof on the left side behind the old pickup myself. Hope the little dog learned his lesson and stays safe! |

Feed the Poorby scaramangaComment: Oh wow, this is great work. The exposure and the b/w conversion are stellar. The interaction of the subjects is fabulous. I don't agree with the inclusion of that much wall on the right side of the photo and think it would be better to crop it just behind the post, but that is a nit-pick. Even so, I'm one of your 10s and predict I'll have a lot of company there. Congrats on an outstanding shot. |

Stormby jduffettComment: I shiver just looking at this! Good work with difficult lighting. I like the foggy/hazy effect, I'm guessing that was created by blowing snow. The wires detract a bit IMO, and the subject itself is a bit mundane... but hey you worked with what you had! (6) |

14 FT 1 INby ZoomdakComment: I like this! I wonder if you staked out the location, fired a test shot or two to check the exposure etc, and then waited for a pedestrian. Or not :) |

Street Protocalby JunieMoonComment: Main Street, Manchester, CT... exposure is fine but the shot itself looks a bit soft to me. (5) |

Tidbits For The Birdsby robinssongComment: I like the high contrast and the "frozen in time" effect achieved by the fast shutter. The backlighting is a mixed bag IMO; works well with the gulls, the ornamental grass behind the guy, but also results in less detail in his face than I would like. (6) |

Waiting to Dieby Dr.ConfuserComment: Oooh, brutal title! I wonder what she's like. Oh, and the photo itself is quite effective. Some might criticize the fact that she's walking off the page, so to speak, and suggest more room on the left for her to "walk into". If you get such comments, I disagree with them. I think that her position in the frame lends a sense of tension that I think you intended. ...As if the photo communicates that most of her life is behind her. Nice work. |

Nick was right - Kerry & Edwards were best.by quiet_observationComment: Ok now, no points deducted for agreeing with Nick ! Honest critique, however: I would like this better if there were more interaction between the people in the photo. True enough that it's a slice of life shot however... your photo does indeed communicate that! (5) |

galleryby tcmartinComment: Good job on the post processing; the sepia was a good choice IMO. I agree that street photos don't necessarily have to include people, however that said I still feel that in this case the choice of subject matter is a bit bland. No offense intended, just an honest comment. 6 |

Minkby pamelasueComment: Night shot, nice! So much to see in this photo, I like all of the activity, and the difficult exposure is well executed. I wish the primary subjects' poses were more interesting, but the little girl in the background is a nice element. 7
PS, Detroit, eh?
