While Watering the Lawn ...by LadeeMComment: Not a bad capture but this picture is lacking severly in quality, mainly sharpness and frankly it looks a bit out of focus. There is also too much noise in the bottle itself for my taste. If the image quality had been good I would have rated it a 6 or 7 even. |

Stretchby peeteComment: Looks severely oversharpened, at least on my screen but other than that pretty good shot. I can´t help but wonder what it would have looked like with a natural backround, like a meadow or something but it works like it is. Great job. |

Timber Tracksby BrianRComment: Sorry if I seem harsh but I can´t give this anything but a 2 and the only reason I am not giving it a 1 is that it seems on topic as I am guessing those are tacks that are in the floorboards. The image is horribly out of focus, totally uninteresting and poorly framed and to me it seems like this shot is made by accident as if the camera shot this itself as you dropped it on the floor. Again, sorry if I seem harsh but this is a very bad image. My tips on how to improve for next time is to have the main subject (in this case the tacks in front) in focus, try to light it more evenly next time. This can be done by using a tripod and take the picture with a slower shutterspeed to get the dark parts in the picture brighter and turn off the flash to make the front of the floorboards darker and lit the same way as the rest of the floorboards. Lastly, find a more interesting subject, ask yourself, is this something you would proudly hang up on a wall? My guess is no and if that is the case, you need to put in a better effort. Anyway, I have a gut feeling you can do better, now go out and prove me right and enter a better image in the next challenge.
Again, apologize if I seem harsh but I mean this in the best way possible, feel free to PM if I offended you in any way. |

Tack Sharpby MontereykiddoComment: The only other 10 I give out in this challenge. Love everything except the title wich is "tacky" (pun intended). I especially love the tones in this image and the shadows from the tacks in the air, the shadows really make this image work. Good job! |

Fortress around your Mind by arnitComment: I am not saying I could do better but there is one thing that really bothers me in this shot and that is the fact that half her face is out of the frame and the other half is looking out of it. Cool that you should break "the rules" like that but still it isn´t working here IMHO. Otherwise, flawless lighting and contrast/sharpness/colours. Gave it an 8 and I wouldn´t be surprised to see this on the front page in a week or at least in the top 10.

Tacks to find the breeze.by banditComment: Hope you don´t get voted down from people that only think of tacks as being those little pointy things but my guess is you aren´t doing to well because of narrow minded people. Anyway, good shot but not exceptional either, needs something to make it go "wow" like a dramatic sunset in the clould or something. It could also use a little bit more contrast/sharpness but I like the composition. Gave it an 6, hope to see you above 60% at least. |

Spike a Drink by TranquilComment: Finally! An image that stands out from the rest of the challenge. No offense to anyone really but this challenge IMO has been terrible so far and I don´t think I have ever given out so many scores of 5 or lower. Anyway, love pretty much everything about this shot except that maybe the DOF could have been bigger to include the drops in the backround that fade out but this is just nitpicking. The first 10 I gave this challenge, hope you do well. |

Old Time Tackby MonaComment: I like this image, excellent colours and DOF but for my personal taste it could have had a little bit more contrast and I would have framed it so that the tack was a little bit more up in the left corner as per the rule of thirds but this is just nitpicking. I gave it an 8 and hope you do well. |

Tactless Arbitrationsby Spanish_GreaseComment: Nice shot but the wierd purple haze/loss of contrast that is dominant in the lower part of the image kindof ruins it for me personally, is this flare or what is going on? Anyway, trying to look past that this image would have potentially been a 7-8 from me due to the fact that I love the colour and contrast of the top half of the image but as it is now I can´t really give it anything but a 5. |

Church of Tacksby ChinabunComment: Good idea but the purple fringing is really killing this image for me personally. If the image quality had been good this would potentially be a 7-8 from me but as it is I really can´t give it more than 5. |
