Jim Talin, Master Bookbinderby Bear_MusicComment: Very nice, I may have been to strict with most of the submissions but this is one of the few that really meet the challenge as far as I am concerned, this is a classic definition of an environmental portrait. Love it, nicely lit and post processing is good, 8 from me. |

il musicistaby GunnsiComment: Not bad but somehow the girl is not as clear as is the harmonica and the wall behind her, did you blur her or is this taken at a long shutterspeed? Anyway, she seems out of focus and it´s definately hurting the shot. |

Waiting for the Perfect Shotby cislanderComment: Sorry but I am not really digging the severe vignetting in this shot, and that is coming frome, I am a huge fan of adding vignetting afterwards, just look at my "road" entry for example. Just doesn´t seem to fit with this image as the subject is in the corner and the vignetting thus serves to drag the attention towards the middle of the photo. Still a nice shot, got a 6 from me. |

Victoria Herbal Doctor by whiteroomComment: Pretty cool, love the lighting/post processing. Definately one of the better shots in the challenge, worth an 8 from me. |

Its Skiesby anviComment: Sorry but this is so far from meeting the challenge as far as I am concerned, for me portraits = people, I can let pet´s slide though but this isn´t even close. Shame as I like the shot, I love the clouds and the dark blue skies, I would have given it a good rating if it met the challenge it was in. No offense intended with this comment, I just wanted to explain why I gave it a low rating. |

Studio Studyby susiComment: Not really digging the "draganizer" effect you put on this shot or whatever you did in post processing. Other than that, pretty good and well lit, I would however have preferred it if the DOF was shorter in order to isolate her more frmo the busy bacrkound. 6 from me. |

Look into my cameraby KitaComment: Hey, is this your shot Kita? Nice one, might want to try and soften the lighting from the flash though, if you can bounce it up in the cealing next time it would be so much better. Everything else is pretty good, keep it up young lady, you definately have got a lot of talent, not just for your age. Take care! |

Keeper of the Gameby timfythetooComment: Sorry but this is hardly what I would classify as a portrait, more of a street candid BUT I wonly deducted one point since I realize different people may have different opinions of what is a portrait and this certainly is a picture of a person. As a photo it´s nice but still, nothing that is making my jaw drop, somehow the man blends in too much and doesn´t stand out, the image is too busy for my taste. 5 from me. |
