By my Grandfather's handby DustyComment: Without any context as to why this is a macro or extreme close-up, I don't see that this fits the challenge. |

Toy Carby WgridleyComment: I think I would have liked a slightly wider depth of field |

Poverty Begins when Education Endsby apboltComment: Good image. I gave it a (7). The things that kept it froma higher score:
1. trees look a little blurry to me. Most of the image has a good sharpness, just the trees look a little off.
2. Without the title, I wouldn't have really understood the connection to the challenge, and wouldn't have known it was a school instead of just some random old building.
A very solid piece. |

Mental povertyby Mad-DComment: I found this shot to be interesting. Unlike most of the other good shots (IMO) it DID use color. Admittedly the palate isn't very large here, but it does give striking contrast between sky and room(?). I love the feeling of insignificance attributed to the subject. Good job! |

Poor Streetby cristiansComment: I like this one. The lines on the wall taking most of hte image has a really closed-in feeling. I feel that is appropriate for the challenge. But I think mostly I just like it. (8) |

The pangs of povertyby kghoshalComment: This iamge definitely fits the stereotypical image most americans have of life in africa. if that had been all, I wouldn't have particularly liked this photo. However, the luster you've captured in the skin makes this one really shine (8) |

All of nothingby smithmaComment: I liked the composition and felt the post-processing was good. The image didn't seem very creative or unique, but was well done (7) |

Social risingby insaneComment: Location, location, location. That really makes this one work. I don't see this one talking about homelessness, just down-on-your-luckness. I like the approach you used for this challenge. Good job. |
