 A river stone 4.0" wide x 3.5" tall carved with a pocketknife by my Grandfather when he was a young man. As near as I can estimate this stone is between 92 and 97 years old. It is one of many that he did but it is the only one that I am lucky enough to have. I just wanted to share it with everyone. Thank you.

Interesting subject. Maybe different lighting to bring out more of the texture and moving the camera so the shot isn't so straight on would help.

Photos of other artwork/engravings dont really interest me. I might like it more with more dramatic lighting.

Without any context as to why this is a macro or extreme close-up, I don't see that this fits the challenge.

Just doesn't seduce me. But it might have a great value to you the artifact. I think you should've taken the white dots on the left. but thats just my opinion.
