This was a nice idea, maybe not executed to it's fullest potential. The water drops and feathre go nicely together and the light is warm but a bit hot in places and maybe the shutter speed a bit too slow. I think that threw off your focus a bit and added some noise. I like that fact that you tried something other than the obvious choices though.

I like the flower, the colors, the black background and use of negative space. I just think you needed better focus, which probably in this case means you needed more light.

As much as it's yet another bug photo, you can't take away from the fact that it's very well done. Not big on the yellow background but the detail of your subject is great.

Beautiful colors, nice lookign subject and those buds are a great compliment to the pic. Smaller aperture really would have helped a bit though, as I think the focal point being mostly on the tops of the wings is in the wrong spot.

Nice subject and I like the background colors. Subject could be just a tad more clear and well lit. Maybe move the crop down a bit so there's more space in front of it?
