He Won't Walk Without Itby Adam520Comment: I see this is your first entry...keep it up, we look forward to seeing more from you!
I think the focus was the reason that this placed last. You had the right idea and a little more care would have allowed for a much better score. The subject could have also been placed in front of a more dramatic background (perhaps a solid black, white or colour).
The first photo I submitted entered last, but in the 5 or 6 challenges since I have improved my photography skills dramatically and I'm very glad I stuck around to learn from the other members here. I hope to see more of your entries in the future! |

Interludeby PedroComment: Anything short of a blue ribbon in this challenge means this photo has been underrated...to me, this encapsules the essence of photography.
The discovery of a moment met by the technical skills required to capture it beautifully.
10. Nothing short of it. |

Megalomaniaby RemieComment: This is the one photo that got away! I definitely had this as a top 5 finisher, but what can you do?
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful... |

Lines, Crossed.by thatcloudthereComment: Originally posted by luv2photo: I am surprised this did not do better. It truly communicated to me the complexity of electricity. |
True, but there are much better ways that I could have photographed this area...it was a rushed shoot and I wasn't into it, otherwise I would have gone back at a better time (not 3 pm) and tried some different shots. I predicted about a 4.8 on this photo, so I can't complain.
Edit: Thank you for the compliment. :)

Split Bout....the inner struggleby graphicfunkComment: Great idea, neat image...but it doesn't appeal to me a whole lot. I know this must have been difficult to pull off, but the payout isn't there for me personally although I'm sure it will appeal to others...Great work, overall, though!
Edit: I'm scoring this a 6, because it's a neat idea but it just doesn't do a lot for me... |

Defeatby moviemanComment: Not nice at all, well done...sad and touching image. I love the overwhelming whites. It was suggested below that darks would have suited the mood but I tend to disagree. The bright white makes it seem like it has been photographed 'from the other side'. Great photo...but again, very sad. I would have given this a 9 or so. |

"Back" Cover Girlby DougPazComment: A cool idea, and it's actually well done, but there's too much 'other stuff' in the picture to distract me. Perhaps a tighter crop of the face and magazine would have been enough for my tastes? |
