Texas Vistaby crabappl3Comment: whats up with the black spots? Are they birds? To bad you couldn't clone them out. All except for that and the left bottom being a little dark. Great shot otherwise. |

Just after landingby BoddiComment: I think water drop shots are cool, but I think they are getting played out. At least on this site. It is a great stopped action photo, also has a very nice dof. I think alot of people dont give water drops a good score simply because thay are water drops. But a nice shot IMHO.

Daddy's Sonby davidphotographyComment: very cute kid and a shot that you should keep in the family for a long time. You really captured emotion and a sence of innocence. Excellent shot, But its not for this challenge. Picture 10
challenge 3
Critique Club: 1. Lighting= Very Dim light, which people depict as gloomy ar dreery. A high key light will depict happieness. With a white background. You may not want to shine bright lites on a new born baby so wait until their slightly older.
2. Composition= You have captured a very nice scene, the crop could be a little tighter to the face of the baby. The hand on the face makes the shot. As if the baby were saying sheesh, what a crazy day. Time to get some sleep.
3. Focus= You can get sharper photos by haveing more light so you can use a faster shutterspeed, you can also use a tri-pod to eliminate camera shake, (but you do not always have time for that) as was with this picture.
Like I said before great shot, it could be sharper, but if this is your first challenge you will improve. If you need any other advice or help with your photos, feel free to PM me.

Photographers Shadowby Prime_TimeComment: where is the subject? Ok I see, but I dont think that your shadow is the main point o focus in the photo. It seems to be over powered by the green grass, I think a good photo has to have a dominating subject. For this challenge it was suposed to be minimal, and I think the grass and sky are overwelming your shadow, which creates compitition, which hurts a photo, |
