I did leave the tree in the picture. I did not crop it because I liked the crushing efect it gave to the picture. To me it does have the feel of the end. The sky is falling..............and all.
For most i guess it was a distraction that they couldnt get by, for me it was the draw of the pic. |

The tree branch is way to strong of a foreground element in this picture. 4 |

Is it just me or do I love this picture because it looks like a giant meteor is going to smash the subject? |

I love the photo. But I find the upper left corner, tree branch?, a little ditracting. I would have like it better with just wide open sky. |

I would have bumped this up a couple of points without the boulder? in the upper left corner. I like the color of the sky and grass and the simpleness of the kite flyer. "7" |

The tree is destroying the minimalism moment and maybe the kid and the kite are too small. I don't know but this doesn't appeal to me. |

Not quite enough clarity of your subject, and the trunk is destracting because it is too much of an undifined dark mass. Otherwise a really great idea, and lovely sky. |

the tree in the foreground seems to really impose of the scene of the kite flyer. why not take a step forward and remove it as a distraction? |

I'm sure you have received comments about this --- but I would have cropped to a panoramic aspect ratio to get red of the tree in the top left. Would have made for a top notch shot. |

The rock in the upper left tends steal the scene. But after looking at this for awhile I got the meaning. Kind of looks like the end is near for the kite flyer, that the rock is falling out of the sky to end it all. Is that what you were after? |

I struggle with the framing in the upper left corner and find it extremely distracting and the strong point of the image. Other than that distraction, I do like the composition and title. Good Luck. |

The rock in the foreground distracts here. You want all the attention on the boy and the kite. Otherwise, well seen. |

I like it, but I wish the subject were just a tad bit sharper. Closer to the subject, maybe? Pleasing capture of the white clouds against the cyan of the sky. |

I think this could have been an amazing shot if it weren't for the tree(?) in the foreground. I'm still going to mark it high, but I recommend going out there and shooting it again someday without the tree. Just a boy and his kite. Ahh..talk about a feel of nostalgia. |

Minimal yes, but doesn't have the simple elegance I associate with minimalism. I'm not too sure the heavy dark triangle really adds anything though |

WHAT is that thing in the upper left corner? It ruined the shot. If it was someone who got in your way, thank them very much. Cropping it out might have helped tremendously. Of course if it was intentional, I apologize - but aaarrrgggghh. |
