The colors are beautiful. The subject is very appropriate for the October Free Study. It seems to lack something in the composition, tho. Wish I knew more myself so I could give you a suggestion. :)

The colors are very nice, but it appears to be a little out of focus. That's something that's giving me some problems, too. Here's hoping we can both improve in that area. :)

This looks like a beautiful place to take photos. A couple of things that would have caused me to score this higher: an angle that didn't include that huge light, and more color. I think it's the lack of color or contrast in colors that makes it appear a little flat. Hope the feedback is helpful. :)

Just a couple of opinions that kept me from voting this cute little fellow higher: first, I understand that the grainy look enhances some photos -- I didn't think it helped this one; second, while the rule-of-thirds is just a guideline I think putting his eyes on the upper third would have helped the composition.

I did not rate your photo low, but I just wanted to comment on 2 things that kept me from giving it high marks. First, I was so grossed out by the subject of the photo I didn't look at it long enough to tell whether it was good or bad. Secondly, you had already posted this in the forums -- I thought submissions were to be anonymous. And before you blast me with a PM, remember that I can always come back and lower my vote some more ;)

This is a very sweet photo. The young girl appears to be totally engrossed in what she's doing rather than trying to pose for the camera. Two areas in which I see room for improvement: there appears to be a green cast to the color, and cropping it a little closer on the right. The cropping is just a matter of taste, but I definitely would have scored it higher if the colors had been better adjusted.
