Broken Heartby xtabintunComment: Great idea! I think it might have been a stronger composition if the white heart had been set on one of the thirds instead of the center. (I know it's just a guideline, but think it might have helped here.) The colors and focus are just great! |

Just Playingby TallblokeComment: This is a beautiful photograph -- the lighting, colors and composition appear very good. However, it is obvious that NeatImage or something similar was way overused on some parts while leaving too much noise in others -- mainly shadowed areas. I'm wondering if your ISO might have been too high or if it was just the settings on the NeatImage. After the challenge is over you might want to post this one and your original in a forum thread and get some feedback. I suspect your score will be rather low, but don't know how many will stop to tell you that it's because of the post-processing, not the subject. I do hope this is helpful information :) |

Gerbera and glassby PixelstateComment: I took an almost identical shot, but didn't enter it. My glass was green and the daisy had water droplets on it , but the composition was identical. And I liked it, so I like yours, too. Was just afriad it wouldn't do well. So I'll be interested to see how yours does in comparison with what I did enter. Good luck! |

Lonely Barnby Moose101Comment: I love it, Mark. At first I thought it was cotton (which is what it would be if it had been taken here in Alabama!) and then I saw the location! LOL Beautiful capture! |

The Pathwayby L1Comment: Wow! This is great Laurie! Photography is teaching me the importance of each moment, too. I finally realize that you'll never get that particlar moment back again, so you'd better live it while you can. Even when I'm on traffic duty each afternoon (I'm a teacher) I never fail to look around me and see what the trees look like today, what birds are flying overhead, what colors the sky is, what kind of clouds there are, etc. I think people passing by in cars with their cellphones to their ears must think I'm crazy, but I don't care. I'm enjoying taking in all the beauty in the moment and thanking God for the senses and the sensitivity to enjoy it! |
