Age Before Beautyby Erin_KComment: that penny is only from 1995 to bad u have such good focus....lol
but really i almost went with a shot of a weet penny and a new 1.....soo very glad i didn't since i would be crushed by this shot it is very well composed and very well staged.
my 1 gripe is that it is so centered just slightly off to the left of where it is would be a great place to have put it....it would just add to the over all comp.-GL |

Cream Roseby lizzyc3Comment: i must've missed this durring my voting on the monster of a challenge B&W, and i'm very sorry for that.
i was going throungh my monthly random user picking hoping to find some really nice shot and i came up with this 1 it went stright to my favs.
the great part of this shot is the lighting in combo. with the grain it takes me back to the beloved film days when 1 would pick some illford 400asa off the shelf and go looking for subjects that were inhanced by grain(or a grainy affect).
a touch of film never hurts and this is an marvilous example.
sorry i missed it in the very argous task of voting on b&w and sorry i was not able to get it higher than 170.:(
great shot:) |

The Doors of a Church are always open...by WinterbergComment: nice grayscale.
i wish this was shot with a fish eye though as it would add a round pull to the image and (for lack of a better word) push or beivel the doors at the viewer causing him or her to be litteraly sucked in with the impact of these mighty gothic doors.-GL |
